Coastline Aventure

A great day out for the whole family is to take in the spectacular nature and learn about the Marengo Marine Sanctuary. But if that’s not adventurous enough, there’s plenty of outdoor activities in Marengo like rock pools, fishing, surfing and kayaking to the Seal Colony.

Apollo Bay Surf & Kayak have set up a 2 hour guided kayak tour suitable for good swimmers, 12 years and up. The tour visits the Marengo Marine Sanctuary and a local fur seal colony. If you are lucky, the fur seals can come right up to the kayaks for a closer inspection of those on board. Kayaks are also available for private hire.

If kayaking is not your thing, you can visit the seal colony by boat with Apollo Bay Fishing & Adventure Tours who offer a one hour scenic cruise to the seal colony. Departs daily from the Apollo Bay Harbour when conditions are suitable.
