Delivering everything you would expect from a town famous for seafood, the Apollo Bay Seafood Festival and Local Produce Festival is an aquatic smorgasbord serving up all the deliciousness supplied in abundance from the local waters. On the menu you can expect fresh crayfish, abalone, calamari, mussels, flake, scallops, snapper and land based treats like raspberries, shitake mushrooms, olives, wines, beers, truffles, cheeses, vegetables and meats – all locally sourced.
Staged on the picturesque foreshore, Apollo Bay Seafood Festival has been held each February since 2011. The day kicks off at 10.00am with cooking demonstrations from local and celebrity chefs, live entertainment, market stalls, wine, beer and of course - seafood in abundance! Joining in on the action, local restaurants and venues fill up with punters, creating an exciting festival vibe around town.

The Otway Odyssey is the ultimate mountain bike marathon in Australia with challenging, scenic, fun and flowing mountain bike courses. Each race includes some of the best mtb single track in Australia, centred around the mountain biking mecca of Forrest in the Great Otway National Park.

Wiggle Amy’s Gran Fondo is your once-a-year opportunity to experience the thrill and safety of riding the fully closed Great Ocean Road.
Held in Lorne and Apollo Bay on Sunday 11 September, the event includes a weekend of family-friendly activities that makes the Wiggle Amy’s Gran Fondo not just an event, but an experience.
There are three stunning distances to choose from guaranteed to suit every level of rider:
120km Wiggle Amy’s Gran Fondo – New reverse course that concludes with breathtaking views along the Great Ocean Road and finishes on the main street in Lorne.
45km Amy’s Medio Fondo – Showcases the entire stretch of the picturesque Great Ocean Road from Apollo Bay to Lorne (includes return bus).
7km Amy’s Family Fondo – Chose to do one or two laps of the 7km loop. Ideal for families, kids and the local community.
With the full road closures and an online safety briefing for every rider, the event has a strong safety focus. Now in its sixth year, Wiggle Amy’s Gran Fondo is held in memory of Australian cycling team member Amy Gillett, who was killed while training in Germany in 2005.
